May 1, Labor Day, may be a holiday in the Philippines but it will not prevent Filipinos in Saudi Arabia from casting their overseas votes for the May 13 midterm elections.

The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah said that while it will not render consular services on May 1, it will still hold the overseas voting on that day.

Overseas voting on May 1 will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., same as on regular days, it said.

But it said assistance-to-nationals, labor and consular (passport and notarial) services will not be available on that day.
